Box Score HOLLAND, Mich. - The Alma College men's lacrosse team loss, 20-7, to the Hope College Flying Dutchmen on Friday evening. The Scots drop to 1-5 on the year while Hope remains undefeated at 3-0.
Alma fell into an early hole that it could not climb out of. The Scots scored their first goal of the night with Trevor Bailey setting up Connor Alley for the goal. Alma ended up finding the back of the net back-to-back times to end the first half.
The Scots carried the late momentum they had going into hafltime by scoring the first goal of the second half. Hope then went on another run to add on to its lead. In the fourth quarter, freshman Drew Gulick scored his first career goal for the Scots. Bailey ended up netting the final score of the game with just over a minute remaining.
Alley and Ezra Leppanen each tallied two goals in the contest. Anar Tumurbaatar had a three-point day with one goal and two assists. Alley, Connor Gilbert, and Paul Heuschele each picked up five ground balls on the night.
Alma will host Calvin University on Saturday, March 20th at 7 p.m.
