Box Score

Tiffin, Ohio - Junior Bryce Bohrmann (Grand Rapids, Mich./Pennfield) scored a school-record eight goals as the Alma College men's lacrosse team posted an 18-5 victory over Heidelberg University on Wednesday (March 15) evening. The Scots, now 4-2 overall, peppered the Student Prices (2-3) with a school record 67 shots while scoring the fifth-most goals in school history.

"It was a good win for the squad," Head Coach Michael Kinney said. "It was a great opportunity for our young guys to get runs and to develop.

"I'm so proud of Bryce Bohrmann. He's a kid who has worked incredibly hard for three years, has never wavered and who saw the fruits of his labor tonight."

Bohrmann, who added an assist in the game, is now one of four players in Alma College history to record nine or more points in a game, and doubled his career goal total after entering the game with eight goals in 25 career games. Freshman Chase Hunyadi (Pepper Pike, Ohio/University School) tallied a season-high four goals and four assists for eight points to register one of the top five single-game point totals in program history.

Junior Daniel Buchy (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) posted his fourth hat trick of the season, scoring three goals, and added two assist for five points. He also became the second player in program history to score 70 or more career goals, netting his 72nd marker. Junior Austen Irrer (Midland, Mich./Midland) chipped in four points with one goal and three assists.

The Scots led, 6-1, after the first quarter and held an 8-2 halftime lead before pumping in 10 second-half goals.

Sophomore Cam Stelljes (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) split time in net with freshman Hank Wickley (Petaluma, Calif./Casa Grande), with each playing a half. Stelljes got the win and made three saves on five shots, while Wickley tallied four saves on seven shots.

Alma returns home on Saturday, March 18, to host Northland College in the front end of a lacrosse doubleheader at Bahkle Field. The opening face-off is slated for 1:00 p.m.
