Alma Men's LAX earn first MIAA win of the season, defeating Trine 11-10 on the road

Box Score

Looking for their first conference win of the season, the Alma College Men's Lacrosse team traveled to the Zollner Athletic Stadium to face off against Trine University (IN) on Wednesday. In an extremely close match, the Scots would leave Indiana with the 11-10 victory over the Thunder on the road.

With the win, Alma improves to 8-4 on the year and 1-1 in MIAA play. Trine drops to 2-7 overall and 0-3 in league action with the loss.

"It was a fantastic effort in an absolute battle of a game," said Alma Head Coach Michael Kinney. "Trine played with so much heart and battled back several times after being down 8-4. They really impressed me with their determination. Our guys played with so much passion and so much intensity, it was amazing to watch. We had a couple of miscues on defense, but all in all, it was a great effort by the Scots and we look forward to being back at home on Saturday.

"This season is all about our first senior class and we are working so hard to honor them and their commitment to building a foundation for our program."
