Men's Lacrosse finishes up first road trip of the program with loss at Hanover on Sunday

Box Score

The Alma Men's Lacrosse team concluded their first road trip of the program on Sunday afternoon when they played at Hanover (IN). The Scots fell to 0-5 on the season after a 16-0 defeat at the hands of the host Panthers.

"Our own mistakes cost us early and we found ourselves in a hole and the bottom line is that we're young and we're learning," said Scots Head Coach Jason Levesque. "We continued to battle and play hard which was great, and gained a great deal of experience throughout the past week.  We've got two talented teams to face next weekend and hopefully we can learn from our previous mistakes. We'll get a good week of practice in and move forward as a team."

Hanover scored five goals in the first quarter and four more in the second to take a 9-0 advantage into halftime. The Panthers added two more in the third and five in the final quarter for the final 16-0 margin of victory.

Alma Fr. GK Daric Mueller (Dewitt, Mich./Dewitt) had ten saves on the afternoon for the visitors. The Scots are now off until next weekend, when they play Fontbonne University on Saturday and Augustana College on Sunday - both games will be played in Rock Island, Illinois.
