SCOTS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LOSES 72-45 TO CONCORDIA (MN)

The Alma Women's Basketball team finished up a two-day tournament at Hope College on Saturday when they took on Concordia College of Minnesota. The Scots ended up on the wrong end of a 72-45 score and are now 0-3 on the 2008-09 season.

Alma trailed 43-33 after one half as the Scots shot 56% from the field. The second half was not so kind to Alma as the team shot just 19% and were outscored 29-12 in the frame.

Heather Keenan led all Alma scorers with 12 points, while Meagan Hoblet added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Stephanie Bradshaw had seven rebounds for the Scots and Kathryn Bigelow also had seven rebounds and led the team with three assists.

The Scots next play at Siena Heights University on Saturday, November 29 and open up the MIAA portion of their schedule on December 6 at Hope College.
