Spirit Rally Brings Home Second Consecutive NCA Division III National Championship

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After capturing the inaugural NCA Spirit Rally Division III national championship, the Alma College cheer team successfully defended their national championship, finishing atop finals with a score of 92.825. 

The Scots finished five points ahead of second place East Texas Baptist University, who scored an 87.8125. Penn State-Behrend finished in third with a score of 85.275 for the top three scores in Daytona. Fourth place saw Tufts University score a 78.325 in finals, followed by Central College (IA) rounding out the last finals spot in fifth, scoring a 77.475. 

The Alma cheer program will now leave Daytona with two more national championships, as they eye down their third of the year as they will now prepare for the STUNT club nationals, taking place next week in Oklahoma.
