PORT HURON, Mich. – Alma College Cheer and Team 14 took part in their annual NCA Camp this past weekend in Port Huron, Michigan, competing with numerous other universities across all divisions. The Scots came away atop the camp standings accumulating 111 total points throughout camp, finishing ahead of Grand Valley State University, who totaled 79 points, and Davenport University – All Girl, totaling 72 points for the top three colleges/universities.
While at camp, each program competes in various levels of routines and competitions, showcasing the talents of the student-athletes individually and as a team. Alma was voted or awarded the top position in each of the following categories: All-Girl Advanced Crowd Segment, All-Girl Advanced Rally Routine and Crowd Segment Run-Off (winner of each division competing). Team 14 was also voted the Most Collegiate All-Girl Team at camp as well as being named the Best All Around Team in attendance.
Along with the team awards, a handful of individuals were recognized as All-Americans for their talent and hard work. The athletes named All-American include:

The Scots also had six groups of four student-athletes receive Top Gun status, where these stunt groups compete in a 45 second routine in front of the camp in hopes of a "hit" to receive the honor. The link to view the Top Gun routines is listed below.

"Overall, it was our best camp showing to date and I am excited to see what all this team accomplishes throughout the entirety of this season" said Head Coach Michelle Sabourin recapping the 2025 camp.
Looking ahead, Alma will again begin to prepare for NCA College Nationals to take place April 8th – 11th in Daytona Beach, Florida, looking to defend their two National Championships from the prior season in Division III Advanced All-Girl and Division III Spirit Rally. The Scots have won five consecutive titles in Advanced All-Girl while making history last season winning their first title in Spirit Rally while competing in the division for the first time. Team 14 will also be preparing for their upcoming STUNT season where they finished Runner-up to Oklahoma State University last season in Club. The STUNT schedule will be released soon.
