Team 13 Sits in Second Place Heading into Finals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Alma College cheer team returned to the Bandshell in Daytona beach, Florida, a place they know oh so well. Alma returns to the NCA Collegiate Cheer Championships as a four consecutive time National Champion in the Advanced All-Girl Division III category.

Team 13 performed at 10:48 AM in prelims, hitting the big stage early with their fellow competitors. Alma competed against Elmira College, Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY Cortland and Concordia University-Chicago for the 2025 competition.

After the preliminary performances, Alma College currently sits in second-place with a raw score of 90.5667, right on the heels of SUNT Cortland who is in first, with a score of 90.9333. Following behind the Scots is Elmira College, with a raw score of 87, chased by Concordia University-Chicago with a score of 71.7 and Rochester Institute of Technology, with a score of 71.4333.

Team 13 will now look towards evening practices and minor fixes to improve upon their preliminary score as they chase toward a fifth-consecutive National Championship. This is the first time since 2019 that the Scots have not been atop the leader board heading into finals. Team 13 will look to recreate history as the 2019 team did with a come from behind championship on the Bandshell.

Alma will hit the stage, eyeing down history at 10:28 AM, looking for a "zero" on the mat.
