Las Vagas, NV – Alma College Bowling in 2 tournaments over the holiday break, the GCLVI Tournament and Collegiate Shootout in Las Vagas, Nevada.
GCLVI 2024 Tournament (12/19 – 12/18)
On December 19th the Scots finished GCLVI tournament play placing 17th out of 38 teams with a score of 7055.
Morgan Smith took the lead for Alma by placing 48th with a total of 1509 through 8 games.
Alexis Marquardt finished in 109th with a score of 1323 through 7 games along with
Hannah Sherman in 132nd with 1200 points after 7.
Kendra Walch and
Sarah Marzolino finish in 153rd and 182nd with 1070 and 772.
Kyle Woodcock (head bowling coach) had stated "The team bowled really well on the Fresh oil both days setting season high games 3 different times." Mentioning how he was proud of their showing.
Women's Collegiate Shootout (12/20 – 12/21)
On December 21st the Scots finished the Women's Collegiate Shootout in 30th out of 38 teams with a total of 6713. Taking control for Alma was
Morgan Smith finishing 6th overall with a score of 1034 after 5 games.
Kendra Walch came out strong with a 145th finish wit 676 points. Three more Scots placed top 200, including
Sarah Marzolino in 160th with 600,
Breonna Becker in 167th with 574, and
Hannah Sherman in 194th with 470.
Alma will be traveling to Waterford, MI to compete in the fifth tournament in AHBA play on Saturday to begin their 2025 Season.
