Gazzarari Leads as Bowling Takes 8th at Scotty Classic

Jackson, MI – Alma College Bowling was in action on Saturday, hosting their annual home event, the Scotty Classic. The Scots finished 8th of 14 teams, with a score of 4,398.

The format was three regular games and 12 baker games. Across the board, scoring was down as the day featured a very tough shot. Alma picked things up early with a great 2nd game, and after a rough start in the first four baker games the last eight were strong from the Scots.

Individually, Madeline Gazzarari was Alma's top placer. She scored 531 over three games, placing 14th. Alexis Marquardt was 36th, scoring 484 over three games. In 46th was Morgan Smith with a 465 over three games bowled. Brooke Morrow bowled 364 over two games to place 72nd, and Mia Winter placed 76th with a 337 over a pair of games. Abigail Debruyne added 153 to placed 101st, and Kendra Walch's 134 placed her 105th.

The Scots are back in action on February 14 and 15 at the Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic.
