Indianapolis, IN – Alma College Bowling was in action over the weekend, taking part in the 57
th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic. The Scots placed 45
th of 64 teams, scoring a total of 6,693.
On Saturday the team bowled five games. The Scots scored between 832 and 879 in all five games, and wound up in 43
rdplace, with a score of 4,289. On Sunday, teams bowled bowled three five-game baker blocks. Alma got off to a hot start, moving up to 39
th after the first block. However, the Scots couldn't sustain the momentum, coming home in 45
th. Alma totaled a score of 2,404 in baker play, bringing their final count to 6,693.
Overall,
Morgan Smith led the way for Alma, scoring an 866 over five games to take 147
th.
Madeline Gazzarari placed 188
th with a score of 770 over four games.
Kendra Walch's 663 over four games was good for 239
th.
Alexis Marquardt scored 610 over four games en route to. 254
th place finish. Abigail Debruyne took 198
th with a score of 497 over three games bowled, and
Mia Winter's two game score of 376 was good for 331
st.
Brooke Morrow was 346
th, contributing 339 over two games.
Brook Buchan totaled 168 in one game to take 395
th.
The Scots have concluded their regular season, and await their sectional placement on Wednesday.
