Bowling Logs Third Place at American Heartland II

CANTON, Mich. – The Alma College bowling program wrapped up its weekend in Canton with a strong finish, rising five spots up the rankings from the previous day to claim a podium spot, trailing only Lawrence Tech and St. Vincent with 5,747 points.

Madeline Gazzarari would have a strong case for MIAA Bowler of the week if the conference sponsored the sport, ending the weekend in the runner-up slot on Sunday with a score of 623, topping 200 in each of her three games and coming up 22 shy of the winner, Brooke Street of SVC.

Abigail DeBruyne saved her best bowl for last, hitting 200 even in the third game to grab 14th place at 573 whereas both Kendra Walch and Mia Winter each tied for 21st courtesy of identical 547 scores.

Brook Buchan competed in the first two games, posting a 392 (66th) and Brooke Morrow took to the lanes once, producing a 184 (81st).
