Women's Bowling places 7th AHBA Championships

Monroe, MI – Alma College Women's Bowling Competed in the American Heartland Championships on Sunday.
 
The Scots placed 7th overall with a score of 5314. Morgan Smith took the lead for Alma with a 2nd place finish with total score of 444. Two more Scots placed in the top 25, Mia Winter in 14th with 384 and Emily Spear in 22nd with 365. Alexis Marquardt placed 47th with 291 and Sarah Wortley placed 64th with 156.
 
The JV team also competed this weekend and placed 2nd with a score of 4303. Lillian Sierakowski placed 4th with a score of 340. Sarah Marzolino and Abby Hill were neck and neck with 7th and 8th places with scores of 306 and 300. The Scots placed 2 more times with Molly Chinery and Jayden Jones with 10th and 13th place and scores of 289 and 209.
 
Morgan Smith was named 2nd team all-conference for her efforts this season.
 
Alma will be traveling to Jackson, MI next weekend for the Scotty Classic.
