Cheer Finishes First At Laker Cheer Classic

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Alma College competitive cheer team performed their 2024 routine at the Grand Valley Laker Cheer Classic on Sunday, March 24th. The Scots are preparing to head down to Daytona Beach, Florida to showcase their talents on the national stage in hopes of securing another Advanced All-Girl Division III National Championship.

Alma recorded the highest overall score of the Laker Cheer Classic scoring 89 out of the possible 90 points. The Scots finished ahead of the Grand Valley cheer team who finished with a score of 87.5 and also ahead of Davenport University who scored 84. Alma has currently paused their STUNT season after claiming back-to-back conference championships as they prepare for NCA Nationals. The Scots have just over two weeks to perfect their craft and show it off and the sports largest stage. NCA Nationals is set from April 10th through the 14th, on the Bandshell and Ocean Center in Daytona.
