Canton, MI – Alma College Bowling traveled to Canton Michigan to take part in the first two tournaments of AHBA play. The Scots finished 8th and 10th throughout the weekend.
AHBA I
On Saturday the Scots took part in the first day of AHBA competition, placing 8th out of 15 teams with a score of 4,969. Taking the charge for Alma,
Alexis Marquardt placed in 14th with 1063 through 6 games,
Morgan Smith not far behind with 1,026 in 21st place. The remaining Scots including
Sarah Marzolino in 44
th place with 831, in 49
th Emily Speer with 789,
Hannah Sherman in 66
th with 647,
Kendra Walch in 71
st with 613.
Alma's JV team competed as well, placing 4th overall with a score of 4278. With top 10 finishes from
Breonna Becker and
Mia Winter with scores of 967 and 954. The Scots finishing out the standings with placements in 12th,15th, 21st, and 22nd.
ABHA II
On Sunday the Scots took part in AHBA II, placing 10th out of 16 teams with a final score of 4,854, finishing the weekend with two top 10 placements to start out the season.
Morgan Smith led the team with a 12th place finish overall with a 732 over 4 games, followed by
Alexis Marquardt with 627 in 4 games in 38th place. The rest of the Scots including
Sarah Marzolino with 485 in 58

The JV team competed again on Sunday, resulting a 4th place finish with 4,212 for Alma. The Scots competed close with one another with 4 bowlers place one after the other.

Breonna Becker in 14th with 570.
Alma will be returning to the ABHA tournament for the third day this weekend in Sandusky, Ohio.
