Williams started off the regional tournament with a win over Noah Johnson from Mount St. Joseph by technical fall (16-0). Williams then faced off against Tanner Beach and was victorious by decision (3-2) in an evenly matched bout. Williams will now face off against Luke Hopkins from Baldwin Wallace for a chance to wrestle in the Regional Championship match to qualify for the National Tournament. Williams can secure a National Championship berth win a win over Hopkins tomorrow or with a loss and two wins following.
