Farmington Hills, MI – Alma College Men's Wrestling placed it's first student-athlete on the All-MIAA teams since the 2021-22 season when the league office announced the all-conference awards on Tuesday afternoon. The Scots'
Dominic Gumtow received the honor after going a perfect 4-0 in his rookie MIAA season.
Gumtow, a freshman from Warren, Michigan opened MIAA action by defeating Adrian's Cole Reidel via tech fall, 18-2. He scored another tech fall win over Albion's Koen Eberhard, 15-0, and followed that up by pinning Desmond King of the eventual MIAA team champion in Olivet in 1:32. To wrap up conference play, Gumtow defeated Trine's Tommy Miller via a 13-10 decision.
Gumtow is the 37th All-MIAA selection in program history, and the first since Jayce Kuehnlein in the 2021-22 season. He is currently listed with a record of 16-3 on the season
The Scots are back in action on February 27th and 28th at the NCAA Regional hosted by John Carroll University.
