OLIVET, MI—The Alma College STUNT Team travelled to Olivet College today to play two games. They were victorious in both games.
Game 1 – Alma 18, Olivet 0
The Scots took on the Comets in the first game of the day and came out on top with a final score of 18-0. Alma got the lead in the first half, winning every routine. In Q1, routines one, three, five, and two were competed. In Q2 routines eight, one, six, and two were competed.
After halftime, the Scots kept their lead and swept the entire third quarter. In the jump and tumble quarter, routines two, six, one, and eight were competed. In the fourth and final quarter, only two routines were preformed instead of four. Alma also won each of these routines.
Game 2 – Alma 24, University of Michigan 1
Alma played the Wolverines of University of Michigan for their second game of the day. Once again, the Scots got the lead early on, completely sweeping the first half. Routines one through four were played in each quarter.
In the third quarter, the teams tied in routine four, giving U of M their only point of the game. The other routines performed were two, one, and three. In quarter four, routines three, one, six, and two were competed and the Scots came out on top with a score of 12-0 for the final quarter, leaving the total score to 24-1.
Today's two wins improve the Scot's record to 5-1.
The Scots are back in action February 25th and 26th for a home tournament. They will be playing Cal Poly, Concordia University Ann Arbor, Davenport, and Michigan State University.
