ALMA, Mich.—The Alma College STUNT team competed against Michigan State University and Hiram College on Sunday, Feb. 13. The Scots came out on top with two wins on the day.
Michigan State started off with the first point of the game, but Alma quickly turned that around with three points to State's one in the first quarter, 3-1. The second quarter was all Alma with four points in pyramids and tosses to put the score at 7-1.
In jumps and tumbling, the Scots continued their lead with three routine points and one tie, 11-2. Alma secured the win in team routine with nine points, only allowing one point to go to MSU for a final score of 20-3.
Next, Alma was up against conference competitor, Hiram College. The Scots started off hot with all points to Alma in partner stunts, 4-0. The second quarter began with a tie between both teams and then three more points to Alma in pyramids and tosses at 8-1.
Jump and tumbling routines ended with all points in the Scots' favor at for a score of 12-1 heading into the final quarter. Alma ended the day with nine points in team routines giving only one point to Hiram with a final score of 21-2.
Next, Alma heads to California on Sunday, Feb. 20, to compete against Vanguard University and Concordia Irvine.
