Alma, Mich.- The Alma College women's tennis team fell to the Calvin University Knights on Friday (Apr. 23) 8-1. Alma drops to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in MIAA play.
Brooke Butterfield earned the only victory for the Scots at number one singles. After taking the first set 6-4, Butterfield would drop the second 6-2. In the tie-breaking third set, the senior would defeat her Knight opponent 10-6.
Calvin would win the other five singles matches, along with the three doubles matches to earn the victory.
Alma will head to Albion College on Sunday (Apr. 25) for an 11:00 a.m. match
