Alma, Mich.- The Alma College women's tennis team fell to the Spring Arbor University Cougars 7-2 on Friday (Mar. 12) at the Superior Street Tennis Courts. The Scots in their first outdoor match of the year earned one singles victory and one doubles victory on the afternoon.

Senior Brooke Butterfield and junior Abigail Davenport earned the doubles victory for the Scots, defeating their opponents 8-2. Davenport also earned the victory at No. 2 singles for the Scots in straight sets 7-5, 6-3.

The Scots will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 20) at Kalamazoo College. The match will begin at 11:00 a.m.
