Head Coach Ashley Bingaman
On the season so far:
"We just have to become more consistent. Things are starting to click in the right way, and it just takes repetition to get there. It's early in the season - very early for us with only four games - and it will come. We want to peak at the right time and we just have to keep doing what we know to do and get better at some of the little things. Defensively as a team it's gotten better every single day and we are playing smarter soccer. We just need to stay composed and get it done when it matters."
On the early penalty in today's match:
"It (the penalty) didn't impact us right away. We came out fighting after it, but as the game went on, you are playing down a goal when you should be playing even, and it makes you play a little differently. We took a lot more chances in the end and made ourselves suspect defensively trying to push for the goal, and that gave them (Adrian) a few counter-attacks, but Becca (Gamble) came up huge a few times. Our back line is doing a great job shutting some things down, which is exactly what we are asking of them. Rotating through three center-backs is not easy for them and they do it great and it is fluid every time a new one comes in."
On the week ahead:
"I told the team at the end what we got better at and what we needed to work on. We've got two days to go and clean up those things. When they watch the film they will see that it's not as terrible as they think it is. 1-0 losses are hard, because you had them right there, and coming off things like a penalty is probably even harder. We've got to bounce back and keep forward movement and progress, put this behind us and learn from it."
