Alma Women's Tennis falls on the road to Adrian 6-3 on Friday

Coming off an impressive 8-1 victory over Albion College on Tuesday, the Alma College Women's Tennis team hit the road again on Friday, traveling to take on Adrian College. Despite 2-0 days for Jr.Megan Solano (Trenton/Trenton) and Sr. Morgan Waier (Grand Blanc/Grand Blanc), the Scots would fall to the Bulldogs 6-3 inside th Craft Tennis Complex.

After the loss, Alma now sits at 6-4 on the year with a 2-4 mark in MIAA matches.

The tandem of Solano and Waier continued their strong play at first doubles, claiming the 8-6 victory to put Alma up 1-0.

Adrian would take the final two doubles matches to take the 2-1 lead in to singles action.

With the Scots down 2-1, Solano would earn her 15th singles victory of the season (6-2,6-0) to knot the score at 2-2.

Waier followed with a 6-3,6-1 win at second singles to give Alma the lead back at 3-2.

The Bulldogs would then win four-straight singles matches to earn the 6-3 come-from-behind victory at home.

The Scots welcome Hope College to campus on Wednesday, April 8, for a match set to start at 4:00 p.m.
