After collecting their first conference win of the season on Wednesday, the Alma College Women's Tennis team returned to the Stone Recreation Center on Saturday for a match against Calvin College. Despite another 2-0 day for Jr. Megan Solano (Trenton/Trenton), the Scots would fall to the Knights 7-2 at home.
With the loss, Alma drops to 5-6 on the year and 1-3 in the MIAA, while Calvin improved to 6-5 overall and 1-0 in league play with the victory.
Solano had a big day for the Scots on Saturday, first teaming up with Sr. Morgan Waier (Grand Blanc/Grand Blanc) to earn a tough 9-8 victory in first doubles, before getting the 3-6,7-6,6-2 win at first position singles.
