Coming off two tough losses, the Alma College Women's Tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Division-I opponent Oakland College on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss the Scots drop 0-3-3 this season while the Golden Grizzlies improved to 1-6 with the victory.
"Although the score doesn't reflect it, the team played very well against this D1 school," said Alma Head Coach Brittany Miller. "With our #1 singles player Megan Solano out due to a foot injury, the girls were asked to play at a higher spot than normal and all handled themselves very well on court."
With players forced to step up spots, the Scots struggled on Sunday and were unable to claim a single set from Oakland.
With a great experience facing a Division-I opponent on Sunday, Alma will look to turn its road trip around tomorrow, facing Palm Beach Atlantic with the time to be determined.
