On Saturday afternoon, the Alma Women's Tennis team took on Kalamazoo College in the MIAA opener for both teams. The host Hornets thumped the Scots by a score of 9-0 to improve to 3-3 on the season, while Alma is now 4-6 on the 2013 season.

Kalamazoo won all nine matches handily in securing the win and now the Scots will regroup and get ready to take on Grand Rapids Community College next Saturday. The team will continue MIAA action on the 16th against Olivet College.
