On Friday, the Alma College women's tennis team traveled to Aquinas College for an early spring season match and lost the match by a score of 8-1. The team is now 1-2 on the season.
The highlight of the day came at #6 singles when Sr. Brittany Miller (Muskegon, Mich./North Muskegon) beat her opponent 6-3, 7-5 to score the team's lone point. Fr. Tara Patton (Midland, Mich./H.H. Dow) took her opponent into a tiebreaker at #2 singles after the two were deadlocked at one set a piece but would eventually concede the victory, 8-10.
The team will have the week off before heading to Orlando, Fla. or their annual spring break trip. They face Davenport University in their first match of the trip on February 23.
