SAUGATUCK, Mich. – Completing day two of the Hope College Spring Invitational, the Alma College women's golf team returned to the links for the final round of the tournament. The Scots finished in sixth as a team with a day two score of 368 (+80) giving them a two-day total of 726 (+150).
Sarah Ream again led the way, finishing in a tie for second place in the tournament, posting a day two score of 83 (+11), giving her a two-day total of 159 (+15). Addison Wressell was Alma's next placer, finishing tied for 25th, shooting an improved day two score of 87 (+15), giving her a weekend total of 182 (+38). Not far behind, Katelyn Jacot finished in a tie for 29th, scoring a 95 (+23) on day two, for a weekend score of 189 (+45). McKenzie McManus closed her weekend out in 32nd place, scoring a 103 (+31) on day two, giving her a tournament total of 196 (+52). The Scots final finisher was Charliese Erickson, totaling a 109 (+37) on day two, bringing her weekend score to a 220 (+76), placing her in 34th in the field.
Ream was edged out by one shot for the medalist position by Amanda Adley of Lake Forest, who finished the weekend with a score of 158 (+14) with round scores of 80 and 78. Host Hope College took the team champion honors with a two-day score of 674 (+98), six strokes ahead of Adrian College who finished I second with a 680 (+104).
Alma will now have some time before competing in a dual match against Westminster College (MO) on Tuesday, April 21st, at Moose Ride Golf Course in South Lyon, Michigan.
