Fort Wayne, IN – Alma College Women's Wrestling headed down to Indiana to take part in the Warrior Open hosted by Indiana Tech. In a loaded field, the Scots were met with stiff opposition.
At 116 pounds,
Chloe Colton picked up one of the wins on the day for Alma. In her initial match, she was defeated via tech fall. Colton then met Jillian Ellis of St. Andrews, winning via fall at 0:59, the fastest pin of her career.
Jaclyn Dietz also picked up a win after being sent to the consolation bracket following an 8-0 decision loss to Desinee Lopez of Southern Oregon. In the wrestle back bracket, Dietz scored an 8-2 decision win over Markia Mingo Strain of St. Andrews.
Cassidee Easey also picked up a win following an opening round loss to Destiney Marquez of the University of the Cumberlands. Easey picked up a win via fall at 3:34 over Ellie Harlow who was wrestling unattached.
The Scots are back in action on February 2
nd at the QC Division III Invite.
