The Scots opened their season on Friday night against the Spartans of Manchester University. The Scots played well in a hard fought physical contest that resulted in a 2-2 season opening draw. 

Action started early with an Ethan Swartzentruber goal assisted by Ethan Korson and Jack Lockerbie. The scots wouldn't hold the lead for long.  After a late first half equalizer, the Scots headed into halftime tied 1-1. It took less than 3 minutes into the 2nd half before Ethan Korson scored his first collegiate goal with Ethan Swartzentruber providing the assist. 

Even though the Scots were out shot 16-4 by the Spartans, they still worked hard to put 2 past the keeper and almost come away with the win. 

The next contest for the Scots is on Sunday September 3rd at 1:00 PM against Concordia University. Alma will host the Cardinals at Scotland Yard on the campus of Alma College in their 2023 home opener.
