How It Happened:
The Scots found themselves in a defensive struggle for the second straight game with the two teams registering just 14 shots between them (10-4, Alma) and all four of the on-target attempts coming from the home XI.
AC was the beneficiary of 23 free kicks due to Olivet fouls, but it was a 55th minute blast off the foot of
Alexander Lopes from
Fabinho Vasco that proved to be the scoring difference in the match.
Scots' Top Performers:
Lopes, a defender, does not usually spend much time in the attacking zone but he made his moment count, driving his second career score off the bottom of the crossbar and past the goal line for his first game-winner.
Vasco's helper gives him a half-dozen in his two years representing Alma College and puts his career point tally at 16.
Anthony Mirolli was responsible for half of the Scots' four shots-on-goal and just one-third of their overall attempts (3-of-10) with the other on-frame kick coming via
Gavyn Moore.
Asher Clark,
Nhan Hoang, and
Anwar Filali Baba all notched shots that missed the mark while
Bradshaw Uhlmann delivered his fourth shutout of 2026, moving him into fourth place on the single-season ladder.
