Ohio Northern 7, Alma 5
Offense was hard to come by for Alma all afternoon. The Scots managed just 4 hits in the first game, but managed to score 5 runs using the long ball. Ohio Northern jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, and the game looked as though it may get out of hand. However, Alma wasn't going to let the home side control things for too long. With the bases loaded in the top of the 4th, Sophia Somerset picked the perfect time to hit her first career home run. The freshman catcher slugged a grand slam and leveled things at 4-4.
An Ohio Northern home run gave the hosts the lead for good in the 5th inning, but Alma struck back one more time in the form of an Emma Fraser home run to pull within one at 6-5. In the end, the Scots fell 7-5.

She gave up 9 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3.
Ohio Northern 9, Alma 1 (6 Innings)
The Scots ran into a hot pitcher in Allie Bican. The Scots did a good enough job discipline wise at the plate, only striking out 4 times. However, the Scots amassed just 3 hits and drew 1 walk, which led to a 1 run outing offensively.
The Polar Bears scored 6 runs in the 3rd inning, and Alma responded with a run in the 6th inning to get on the board. A wild pitch allowed Fraser to scamper home from 3rd to score. Ohio Northern scored 3 runs in the bottom of the inning, and the game was ended early.
Taylor Griffith, Aynslee Koutz, and Morgan Brandau grabbed hits for Alma, while Brandau drew the lone walk for Alma. Morgan Westall started game two, going 3.1 innings. She allowed 9 hits, and struck out 2 while walking 2. Megan Krueger came in in relief, and pitched 2.1 innings of work. She allowed 6 hits, and struck out 1, while walking 1.
