Box Score Alma, MI – Alma Men's Soccer hosted Elmhurst University on Wednesday evening at Scotland Yard. The Bluejays defeated Alma 5-0.
Elmhurst struck early and often, leading 4-0 at the halftime break. Alma used the depth of their roster in the second half, and the Scots limited Elmhurst's chances. The visitors would score once more in the second, and Alma would come close to striking on a few occasions, but the score line would read 5-0 at the final horn.
Chris henry made 9 saves on 13 shots against, picking up the loss, and Leandro Vargas played 45 solid minutes in relief in the 2nd half.
Alma will next be in action when they open MIAA Play next Wednesday at Albion. Kickoff is set for 7 PM.
