Box Score Anderson, IN - Alma Men's Soccer traveled to Anderson University to take on the Ravens in non-conference play today. The Scots were victorious by a score of 2-1.
Alma scored early to take the lead in the first. In the 13th minute, Toby Stauffer netted the games first goal, with an assist going to Joe Rawlin. The Alma lead would be short lived, as Anderson struck in the 15th minute to level things at 1. The score would remain knotted into halftime, and well into the second half as well. Alma would finally break through as Ethan Swartzentruber scored in the 73rd minute to give Alma a 2-1 advantage that they would not give up.
Overall, Alma outshot Anderson 15-14 on the day, with Anderson leading shots on goal 9-7. Chris Henry was superb in net for the Scots. The keeper stopped 8 of 9 shots on goal by the hosts, and picked up the win.
The Scots move to 2-1 on the year, and will have under 24 hours rest before kicking off against Manchester (IN) at 1 PM on Sunday.
