Box Score Alma, MI – Alma Men's Soccer hosted Adrian College on Saturday. The Scots drew with the Bulldogs 0-0.
At halftime, the Scots honored their 1997 MIAA Championship Team. The team went 15-4-1, with an 11-1 mark in MIAA play to win the MIAA Championship. They made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament, before being eliminated.
The game was balanced with both teams having their fair share of chances, but neither was able to find the back of the net. Adrian outshot Alma 14-11, also holding the advantage in shots on goal 9-3. The game also proved to be a physical, with a total of 25 fouls being called, and a total of 9 bookings. In the closing stages Alma came extremely close to scoring but came up inches short on a pair of occasions.
Chris Henry came up with a clean sheet making 9 saves on 9 shots faced, and moves to 3-6-1 on the season.
Alma moves to 3-6-1 on the year, and will be in action at Calvin on October 11th at 7 PM.
