Box Score The Scots returned to action for their second game of the season. This time they welcomed The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to Scotland Yard.
Both teams' defenses put in solid performances as neither attack was able to muster many significant chances. The Scots goalkeeper, Junior
Chris Henry, did his part to help keep the Warhawks off the scoresheet when they were able to breach the Alma defense.
As the game progressed it was clear that one chance would make the difference. That chance fell to the Warhawks in the 84th minute as Jacob Mouille placed a free kick perfectly into the corner of the goal. The Scots pushed for an equalizer in the final minutes but fell short.
Coach Greer had this to say about today's game:
"We fought hard and executed the things we trained leading up to the game. I am proud of the effort we put in against a strong Wisconsin-Whitewater team. We are frustrated to not get a result and I could see the disappointment on the guys faces. We know we have more work ahead of us as we continue to learn and grow. A quick thank you to all our Families and Friends who came out and spent their Saturday with us. We appreciate the love and look forward to seeing you back out at Scotland Yard on Monday!"
The Scots will host Illinois Institute of Technology at home on Monday with a 4:30pm start.
