ALMA, Mich. -The Scots welcomed the Calvin Knights to Scotland Yard on Wednesday. The Knights controlled the opening moments of the game and turned that control into the first goal when Chris Schau found Oliver Akintade in the 8th minute. Calvin doubled their advantage four minutes later when Sam Twigg found the back of then net off a pass from Mason Smith. The Knights added a third when Smith notched his second assist of the game, this time finding Akintade for his second goal of the game.

 

The Scots came out in the second half and got to work. Freshman, Ethan Swartzentruber led the attack forcing the Calvin GK, Daniel Wunder, into his only save of the match. Calvin made it 4-0 in the 72nd minute when Akintade tucked away a penalty for his hat trick.

 

The Scots dropped to 1-5 on the season and next welcome Oberlin to Scotland Yard at 2:30pm on Saturday September 18th.
