Angola, Indiana- The Alma College men's soccer team dropped its season opener at Trine University on Friday (Mar. 19). The Scots were down only one goal at halftime before Trine scored four times in the second half to earn the 5-0 victory.

Sophomore Jose Vicario played all 90 minutes and made six saves in net for the Scots. The Scots took seven shots but only one on goal by Jarod Arendsen. Ethan Vollstedt picked up the only yellow card of the game in the 44th minute. 

The Scots will return to Alma for their home opener next Thursday (Mar. 25) against Olivet College. The game will kickoff at 4:00 p.m. at Bahlke Field.
