Kalamazoo, Mich. - The Alma College men's soccer team fell 3-1 to Kalamazoo College on Saturday (Sept. 19) afternoon. Alma falls to 5-8 overall and 2-2 in the MIAA with the loss; Kalamazoo improves to 8-2-2 and 2-1-1.

Kyle Farmer (Greenville, Mich. / Greenville) scored the game's first goal in the 19th minute from an assist by Kyle Costigan (East Tawas, Mich. / Tawas Area). Kalamazoo's Ben Meschke answered in the 36th minute, then again in the 47th. Hayden Strobel added a third goal for the Hornets to put the game out of reach.

Farmer led the Scots with four shots in the game. Garrison Mast (Grand Haven, Mich. / Grand Haven) made six saves.

Alma returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 22) when it hosts Hope College at 3:45 p.m.
