In 24 at bats the Scots recorded only seven hits but held Albion to just five hits in 25 at bats. Freshman McKenzie Creed (Edwardsburg, Mich./Edwardsburg) had two of those seven hits going 2-3 in the first game.

Game Two:
Alma found themselves on the board a little earlier this game crossing the plate in the top of the first inning. Lead off batter, senior Kassidi Adams (Montrose, Mich./Montrose) singled down the left field line and took second on a wild pitch. Freshman Chelsea Schweiger (St. Clair, Mich./St.Clair) singled up the middle to score Adams to take the early 1-0 lead.
The Scots had a big fourth inning chalking up six runs in the inning alone. The six runs came off of seven hits and one Albion error. Couture and senior Sarah Collier (Fenton, Mich./Fenton) both nabbed two RBI's in the inning. After holding the Britons to no hits in the bottom of the fourth inning the Scots held a comfortable 7-0 lead over the Britons.
Neither team would score the remainder of the game and Alma picked up its second win of the day and are starting MIAA play with an unblemished 2-0 record. After today's two victories the Scots are currently on a six game winning streak.
Sophomore Katie McClure pitched a complete game in the second allowing just three hits while striking out four batters on top of it. Collier and Adams both went two for three and Collier picked up two RBI's.
Alma will travel to Hope College on Wednesday (Mar. 30) for a double header against the Dutch. The first pitch is set to start at 3:30 p.m. followed by a second game immediately after. Once they return, Alma will host three consecutive home games in the week to follow.
