Alma, Mich. – The Alma College men's soccer team defeated Adrian College 1-0 at Scotland Yard on Saturday in its final regular season contest of the year. The Adrian Bulldogs will return to Scotland Yard on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 3:00 p.m. for the semifinal round of the MIAA Tournament.

Kyle Kansman (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) scored his fourth goal on the season on a penalty kick in the 33rd minute, giving the Scots the score they would eventually finish with.

With Saturday's victory over the Bulldogs, Alma College finishes 2nd in the final MIAA standings and earns home-field advantage for the first round of the MIAA tournament.

Saturday was also Senior Day for the Scots, who celebrated the efforts of Kansman, Austin Gabris (Spring Lake, Mich./Spring Lake), Nick Strait (Jenison, Mich./Jenison), Josh Carolan (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Grosse Pointe), Tyler Raab (Mason, Mich./Mason), and Kei Yamamoto (Midland, Mich./Midland/Tiffin University) in their careers at Alma.
