The Scots (11-4-1, 7-3-1 MIAA) got off to a quick two goal lead within the first ten minutes of the match. Noah Canlas (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) began the scoring in the eighth minute off a free kick from roughly 20 yards out to the top left corner of the goal for his team-leading fifth of the year.
Austin Gabris (Spring Lake, Mich./Spring Lake) added to the lead two minutes later off a pass from Kyle Farmer (Greenville, Mich./Greenville).
