The Scots Men's Soccer team traveled to Siena Heights on Saturday and lost to the hosts by a score of 5-1, dropping the team to 2-1 on the season. The Scots fell behind early as the the Saints scored 1:30 into the match and it got tougher from there for the visitors.

Siena Heights led by a margin of 3-0, scoring goals in the 31st and 38th minutes, before Alma was able to notch one of their own. At 39:53, Fr. Nick Peper (Northville, Mich./Northville) hit the back of the net on a shot from 18 yards out, assisted by Sr. Cameron Alman (Troy, Mich./Troy Athens).

In the second half, Siena Heights scored the final two goals of the game - in the 52nd and 59th minutes to walk off the pitch with the final 5-1 advantage. For the game, Alma finished with five shots on goal, while the Saints had 14 shots on the net in the contest.

Alma will next play at home on Tuesday, when they host Hope College in the MIAA home opener at Scotland Yard. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
