On Saturday afternoon, the Alma Men's Soccer team took on the first-place Calvin Knights in Grand Rapids, looking to spring an upset against the host team. In a spirited performance, the Scots tied the Knights, 0-0, in two overtimes, showing their continued improvement from match to match.

Alma is now 2-4-1 in the MIAA and 5-6-1 overall, while Calvin, fresh off of a win over #23 Olivet College, stands at 5-1-1 in the league and 9-3-1 for the 2011 season. 

Earning the tie, the Scots were led by So. GK Graham Wallace (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern), who had six saves on the day, and earned his second shutout of the week. Sr. M/F Cameron Alman (Troy, Mich./Troy Athens) had three shots for Alma.

The next game for the squad will be on Tuesday night, when they travel to Hope College for a 7:00 p.m. game.
