How It Happened:
The hosts out of the NCCAA proved right away that they were not to be taken lightly as Caden Petroelje got GCU on the scoreboard less than three minutes following the opening whistle.

That was all the Tigers would need with their keeper, Logan Werschem, having an incredible day between the pipes by stonewalling all nine of the Scots' shots, but Grace Christian tacked on scores by Keaton Edwards (19th minute) and another from Petroelje (65th minute) to pull off the shocker.

Alma was not without opportunities, however, getting away 14 shots with nine being on-target while not being able to capitalize on 15 corner kick chances including ten in the second half alone.

Scots' Top Performers:
Jack Lemerand led the offense thanks to a trio of shots-on-goal and Gavyn Moore was the other student-athlete with multiple SOGs (2).

Fabinho Vasco, Anthony Mirolli, and Mason Horwath all registered a pair of shot attempts as each landed one accurate boot whereas Christopher Jacobi saw his only shot get saved.

Lucas Ratell spent nearly half of the contest in goal (43:56) and collected a pair of saves in a relief appearance.
