ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College football program had gone 27 years without receiving multiple selections to the D3football.com Team of the Week but that changed on Tuesday when the national publication announced that both Jacob Kluk and Jett King were given the accolade, the former being given the ultimate distinction of being the cover photo.
 
Prior to the announcement, the Scots had only landed more than one student-athlete on the team once before, in week 4 of the award's debut 1999 season when both wide receiver Brian Pierce as well as the offensive line of Shawn Priem, Josh Heitsch, Craig Calkins, Kenny Warner, and Matt Leighty shared the spotlight.
 
As the first honorees since week 11 in 2023, Kluk is the first Scots punter given the nod and the fourth specialist to make it whereas King is the sixth linebacker to make the cut, the last one being Anthony Sabatella 15 seasons prior.
 
The dynamic duo became the 24th and 25th players to earn the honor while donning the Maroon and White with 30 overall awards given to Alma athletes, counting multi-time winners.
