FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Alma College volleyball program piled up its most service aces in a match since 2021 in the opener of Saturday's twin-bill at the Franklin Invitational, registering 18 in a 3-1 victory over the Owls before falling to Greenville, 3-0.

  • Emily Carling was the ringleader of the aces parade, tying her career-most with five (1.25 p/s) and setting season-highs for points (17, 4.25 p/s) plus kills (12, 3.00 p/s).
  • Allie Fish matched her personal-best for single-game blocks (3, 0.75 p/s), to lead the Scots while recording four kills (1.00 p/s), three digs (0.75 p/s), and an ace.
  • Mallorie Nevadomski joined Carling atop the kills leaderboard versus the Owls at a dozen (3.00 p/s) with a hitting percentage of .370 whereas Nevea Bush clubbed ten kills (2.50 p/s) with an absurd .625 success rate.
  • Rudy Maynard was the top assister (25, 6.25 p/s) and Grace Steiner dug up the most balls on defense (12, 3.00 p/s).
• Greenville
  • Carling raised her daily ace total to eight over the seven sets played by tacking on three more (1.00 p/s) versus the Panthers, tying Bush for the highest kill tally at seven (2.33 p/s).
  • Maynard went for double-digit helpers again (12, 4.00 p/s) and Grace Droste wound up just one behind her teammate for the assists lead (11, 3.67 p/s) in the nightcap.

• The Maroon and Teal head west to Illinois for a trio of matches next week, beginning with a Friday night, 6 p.m. stop in Elmhurst to take on the Bluejays.
