TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Alma College golf program is getting off to a hot start in the fall semester as the men saw one of their own record an eagle during their first event of the year while the women claimed a podium spot thanks to a third place standing.

Scots' Top Performers:

• Women
  • Ream topped the ladies' squad for the second straight event, rising four spots to finish in fourth at +15 with a quartet of birdies.
  • Addison Wressel made a huge leap from 21st all the way up to her final allotment of 11th via three birdies, two on the final afternoon for a +20.
  • Kate Jacot rounded out the women's top-three placers, claiming 20th courtesy of a +36 score.
• Men
  • Ducharme was the leader of the pack after day one, shooting two under par with four birdies and ended up coming in fifth place overall at +5, tallying two more birdies to his card on Saturday.
  • McCave ranked just outside the top-ten for the weekend with a +8 score and five birdies.
  • Pettenger was the lone golfer on the men's side to improve his spot in the standings following the break, earning 29th at +13.
  • The best outcome of the guys' Irish Hills Invite came off the club of Gerber, who eagled on hole 14 in round one.

 
Next:

• The women are back almost immediately as they compete in the first MIAA Jamboree of the season on Monday and the men head to Trine for the Ken Venturi Invitational on Tuesday, September 22.
