WEST OLIVE, Mich. – The Alma College men's golf program, as a whole, tied with Kalamazoo for fifth place with a score of +17, but it was the individual effort of
Jaden Ducharme which etched this performance into Scots lore, winning the MIAA Jamboree #3.
Ducharme joins elite company as the first men's golfer to be the medalist of a conference sponsored event since Chris Williamson back in 2013 and is only the seventh different student-athlete in team history to claim the top spot. The junior finished four under with an eagle on hole seven plus five birdies and ten pars. He defeated Hope's Eli Voisard by two strokes and was three strokes ahead of the 74th-ranked player in the nation, Trine's Lance Decker.
Both
Brady Pettenger as well as
Andrew Skellenger laid claim to top-25 allotments with each notching a tally of +5, combining for six birdies and breaking even 16 times.
The duo of
Josh Cooney and
Carter McCave tied for 41st courtesy of identical +11 outings while
Easton Weder completed individually (+14 / 46th).
