ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College football program played opportunistic defense and gave the ball back to the offense with just under two minutes to go with a chance to win, but its run on 4th-and-2 was stuffed in the backfield to allow (RV) Wisconsin-Oshkosh to escape Scotland, USA with a 23-21 decision.

Scots' Top Performers:

• In just his second career varsity game, Robert Hock made what was the biggest play of the game at the time and shifted the momentum in favor of the Scots, jumping the route to intercept the pass for a 44-yard touchdown to cut the deficit to three midway through the third quarter.
• Running back Braylon McDonald had not caught a pass or found the endzone through 14 career games, he made a pair of catches and hit paydirt against the Titans, one of his receptions went 25 yards on a middle screen to the house for the go-ahead score with 6:05 left in the fourth quarter.
• Jason Boge made his first collegiate start at quarterback and performed admirably, totaling 188 yards from scrimmage (151 passing, 37 running) plus touchdowns both through the air as well as on the ground, leading the Scots in both categories while completing 63% of his passes (17-of-27).
• Andrew Bradley made sure Hock was not alone in the INT club, taking an errant Ashiru throw the other way for a 23-yard return (his second at Alma) on top of recovering a fumble.
• TJ Seiler was Boge's favorite target, reeling in a personal/game-best five receptions whereas Miles Haggart edged out Seiler in the yardage department by one at 39 (19.5 YPC).
• The defensive line had multiple student-athletes make impacts as Parker Schuman forced a fumble and logged a TFL for the second straight game, Kalifornia Bey and Jacob Bowen each notched their first career unassisted tackles for loss, and Blake Esselink knocked down two potential completions at the line of scrimmage.
• Jacob Kluk set a career-long with a 53-yard punt, had multiple boots of 50+ yards for the first time, pinned the Titans deep in their own end twice, and averaged 45 yards per kick.

• The schedule remains challenging as football takes the bus ride to (RV) Baldwin Wallace in Ohio for another noon kickoff versus a team that is receiving votes in the top-25 on Saturday.
